Opening three boxes of Kleenex all at once was my biggest accomplishment of the past few days. Yup, I've got a cold. It was almost as good as being the first person to scoop out of the peanut butter jar. I started out a few days ago by getting up really early. I made a bowl of oatmeal and poured a big glass of orange juice. On the way down to enjoy breakfast by my computer, I tripped on the stairs and spilled my juice all over the front hall. Studies have shown that people who eat together have better nutrition, but they forgot to mention that it's because when you're at the table, it's harder to spill all over the floor.
This is what else I accomplished, in addition to wandering around and looking for kleenex. Then yesterday afternoon, my son accidently locked his keys and wallet in his car (40 minutes away from home). Grandpa picked him up so he didn't freeze (no jacket of course), and he called me to bring him an extra set of keys. When I was almost there, I realized that I had forgotten the keys at home. So back and forth we went. It was dark by the time we finished, so I did get to see some beautifully decorated Christmas houses.
Murphy's law comes to mind. Sounds like my weekend, although I don't have the cold part. I hope you are feeling better soon.

I HATE getting a cold...I am a firm believer in flu shots and believe it or not, they really seem to help so I don't get as many colds. I had an awesome weekend. I finished two wall hanging sewing projects and only have to bind another. The sad thing is that they are all summer themed...I started them this summer but then the garden grabbed all my spare time. I laughed and told myself I was working ahead rather than that I am finally catching up!
